Dušica Dražić announced as jury member at AFV 2023
The artist and curator is the co-founder of the independent space OUT OF SIGHT in Antwerp
The next jury member announced for Alternative Film Video 2023 is the Antwerp-based artist and curator Dušica Dražić. She is interested in methods of knowledge production concerning social, political and aesthetic changes of (public) space. Dražić has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
In 2018, together with the artist Wim Janssen, she co-founded OUT OF SIGHT in Antwerp, an independent space dedicated to presentation of experimental audiovisual and time-based practices. Since 2020 she is an artistic collaborator and creative producer at wpZimmer in Antwerp, an international workspace for the arts, with a focus on performance and artistic research. Currently Dušica is working on her debut feature film titled “It Rains Differently”.
Jury members at Alternative Film Video are responsible for compiling the festival’s List of Outstanding Achievements. The jury also decides on the Sonja Savić Award, which goes to an outstanding woman in the international competition. The final jury member at AFV 2023 will be announced in the coming weeks.
